Do you remember your favorite teachers? These teachers motivated you, they were firm, had structure, classroom management, knew how to set limits, helped you remember your goals and put procedures in place. These teacher were Kings and Queens to us as children because of all the knowledge they held. These are keys for success and what I believe is to be an awesome philosophy of education. My philosophy of an effective teacher is a person who motivates their students to learn. A teacher who takes the time to go back and re-teach when needed. A teacher who communicates on their student's level, needs, and who sets up structure in a classroom. A teacher needs to know how to relate to their students and extend it to real life. You can tech a specific concept, relate it to real life experiences and then make the connection between the two. Connecting all of this in a balanced curriculum through Differentiated Instruction is effective teaching.
